Mid Carolina Electric Cooperative Renovations - Dutch Fork & Lexington
Dutch Fork
Lobby Renovation
Why Our Process Works:
MBM Consulting was able to complete both office renovation projects 20% below the original estimated cost, while providing Level III Ballistic protection.
MBM Consulting provided owner representative services in the renovation of the Mid Carolina Electric Cooperative Dutch Fork (Irmo) branch office lobby renovation. In this project, ballistic protection was incorporated into the lobby envelope to provide a secure area for employees; this included in-wall ballistic panels, ballistic glazing, and ballistic doors. We also included three new member services stalls for individual transactions between MCEC employees and their members. These interaction stalls are also protected with ballistic panelling and glazing. Interior finishes were completely upgraded, including wall paint, flooring, lighting and furniture. The restrooms were upgraded as well with new tile, paint and fixtures.
Running as dual projects, MBM also provided owner agent services to oversee the renovation of the lobby at the Lexington Headquarters offices for Mid Carolina Electric Cooperative (MCEC). This project included ballistic protection throughout the lobby envelop; as well as the addition of four interaction stalls, a small conference room, and restroom upgrades. All interior finishes were updated and coordinate with the Dutch Fork branch office shown above. The projects were completed simultaneously with the same general contractor overseeing both sites. The projects were completed on time and within the project budget.
