Mike Metz served as owner representative (while employed with another firm) to renovate the kitchen and create a space that could serve as a dining room for catered conferences. The kitchen was renovated to include all new finishes, upgraded appliances, and a custom island for serving. The ideal location for the dining room was the existing covered patio. By extending and enclosing the patio, it created a natural flow from the conference room into the break room and then to the dining room.
A second project was a renovation for the magazine publishing office spaces. A third project was complete interior redesign and upfit including a boardroom renovation and replaced the entire HVAC system.
Size: 375 sq. ft. Renovation; 1,100 sq. ft. Addition
Project Cost: $300,000
Why Our Process Works:
The kitchen renovation and annex was completed from concept to occupancy in 6 months
Magazine offices were renovated in 2 weeks
The interior re-design, HVAC upgrade, and full FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) met GMP and refused $23,000 in change orders due to GC means and methods and subcontractor mismanagement (not paid by client).
