Black River Electric Cooperative Member Services Building
MBM Consulting provided Owner Representative services for Black River Electric Cooperative to renovate the lobby of their Member Services Building. The project began with a discussion on securing the existing large, open lobby with ballistic protection. Due to cost concerns of ballistic material for the expansive lobby, options to integrate interaction rooms, a public restroom and secure the lobby proved to be more valuable for the client’s needs. The renovation added four Customer Interaction Rooms, relocated an existing office, converted an existing conference room to manager’s office, added a public restroom, reduced the public lobby while adding ballistic protection to the perimeter of the public space. New finishes, furniture and artwork were included in the renovation. The project completed on schedule, and under budget. Additional scope items were captured in project contingency to include pressure washing and repainting the exterior of the building, sound masking in high noise areas and additional flooring upgrades.
Why Our Process Works:
MBM Consulting was able to capture 10% additional project scope
and still completed the project under budget and on time.
