Abbeville County Complex
Abbeville, South Carolina

In an effort to consolidate county government offices into one central facility, Abbeville County purchased the vacant Abbeville County Hospital building. This facility was deemed obsolete and too costly to renovate in 1965. Using a modified Integrated Project Delivery approach, we were able to design and facilitate construction of a renovation project meeting the county’s needs within the $4 million budget allocated to this project. The project required extensive environmental and hazardous material abatement. Installation of new plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems including public address communications, data and communication raceways were required of the renovation. Mike Metz served as owner representative for this project while employed with another firm.
